Telecabina Kanzel
The Kanzel cable car is one of the two big cabins that climb from Poiana Brașov towards the summit of Postăvarul — about 2.4 km of cable and roughly 690 metres of height gain, to an upper station at around 1,730 m. It is run by Ana Teleferic, the company behind the resort's cable cars, and it is the lift for Drumul Roșu, the long, gentle run back to the base, and for the short, steep Kanzel slope at the top.
Prices. In 2025/26 a single ride up cost 40 lei for adults and 25 lei for children, and the same ticket worked on the Postăvarul Expres gondola and the Capra Neagră cable car; ski passes cover all three. 2026/27 prices had not been published in September 2026.
Hours in the ski season are generally 09:00–16:00. For summer operation, check with the operator before you go.
The lower station is in the centre of the resort, a few minutes' walk from the Teleferic Grand Hotel. On a clear day the ride itself — over the forest, with Brașov and the Bârsa plain opening up behind — is worth the ticket. See our ski guide.
