Brașov's nights are compact rather than wild: cocktail bars in old merchant cellars, a few clubs, lounges and live-music rooms, almost all within a short walk of Piața Sfatului — and a student crowd that keeps weekends busy from October to June.

How a night goes
Dinner late, a glass of wine or a cocktail in the Old Town, and then — if you want it — a club after midnight. The density is the point: Republicii, Michael Weiss, Postăvarului and the lanes behind Piața Sfatului hold most of it, so you can change bars without a taxi.
Cocktails and cellars
The best cocktail bars are small and in vaulted basements; they fill on Friday and Saturday, so go early or book. Hotel bars have raised the bar too: the new design hotels in Coresi run serious cocktail programmes.
Clubs and live music
Times and Kasho are the Old Town club names; Rockstadt is the rock and live-music room — not to be confused with the Rockstadt Extreme Fest, which moved to Ghimbav in 2026. Line-ups change weekly; check before you go.
In the season
In winter, Poiana has its own après-ski in the hotel bars near the slopes, but the real nightlife stays in town — bus 20 and taxis connect the two. In summer the Old Town terraces stay open late, and festivals such as the Brașov Jazz & Blues Festival (mid-August) move the evening outdoors.
Getting home
The Old Town is safe and walkable at night. Uber and Bolt both operate in Brașov; a 5 km ride is around 28–30 lei.
