Inside the Council House on Piața Sfatului: free maps, event listings and help with buses, museums and the mountain.
Where
The Brașov Tourist Information Centre is inside the Council House (Casa Sfatului), Piața Sfatului 30, in the middle of the Old Town — the same building as the County History Museum. Listed hours are daily 09:00–17:00, telephone 0268 419 078; hours can change on holidays, so call ahead if it matters.
What they help with
- Free city maps and walking routes.
- What is on this week — concerts, fairs, the Christmas market, the Junii.
- Bus lines and tickets, including getting to Poiana, Râșnov and Bran.
- Museum tickets: the single county museum ticket (25 lei for adults, valid 15 days) is sold at the museum desks. See what it costs.
- Mountain questions: trail conditions and who to call — for emergencies, always 112 or Salvamont 0725 826 668.
