Azuga is the modern, compact ski area of the Prahova Valley: an eight-seat gondola lifts you from the town to about 1,500 m, where two long intermediate runs, Sorica and Cazacu (each around 2 km), come back down, plus the easier Sorica Sud and La Stână. The total is about 7 km between 978 and 1,539 m, almost all of it blue and red, so it suits confident intermediates and families rather than experts. Sorica is floodlit. Prices vary by source — skiresort.com lists 170 lei for an adult day pass, local sources quoted around 200–220 lei for 2025/26 — so check azugaresort.ro before you go. From Brașov it is about 48 minutes over the Predeal pass, far longer on winter weekends.
