Casa Sfatului – Muzeul Județean de Istorie

The Council House in the middle of Piața Sfatului was the seat of Brașov's Saxon magistrates, and its tower — the Trumpeters' Tower — was the city's lookout. Today the building houses the County History Museum's permanent exhibition on the history, culture and civilisation of Brașov and the Bârsa region, and on the ground floor the city's tourist information centre (Piața Sfatului 30, open daily 09:00–17:00).

The museum also runs three other sites in the city: the Weavers' Bastion, with its model of seventeenth-century Brașov, the Graft Bastion and the Olimpia museum of sport and mountain tourism. The Council House, the Weavers' Bastion and Olimpia are included in the county's unified museum ticket (adults 25 lei, valid 15 days, sold at museum desks) and in the Brașov Visit Ticket.
