The wide nursery slope in the village — and the only floodlit piste
Bradul is Poiana's classic nursery slope: a 430 m, 70 m-wide blue with just 71 m of vertical, in the middle of the resort next to the Capra Neagră cable car. It is the only piste in Poiana with fixed floodlights, and its draglift runs until 18:00, two hours after the mountain closes. That makes it perfect for a first day, for children after ski school and for anyone who wants an hour of turns after work. It is also why it gets busy: ski schools, sledges on the edges and complete beginners share it, so the draglift queue is the real test of patience. Bradul and Stadion are usually the first to open — on 30 December 2025 they opened on barely 5 cm of natural snow.
