Almost flat, with a magic carpet — the gentlest first day in Poiana
Stadion is the gentlest slope in Poiana and the right place for an absolute first day: 612 m long but only about 30 m of vertical, 50 m wide, with a short draglift and a magic carpet for children. It sits at the bottom of the resort by the gondola and Kanzel stations, at 1,010–1,040 m, so it is easy to reach from the bus and the car parks. A single ride costs one point on a points card — the cheapest lift in the resort — which makes a small card the sensible buy for a learner instead of a day pass. Expect ski-school groups most mornings. Once you can stop and turn on both sides, move up to Bradul.
