Pietrele lui Solomon — Solomon's Rocks — is a limestone gorge at the south-western end of Șchei, where the valley of Valea cu Apă cuts between Tâmpa and the Stejerișul Mare forest. The name comes from a legend: the Hungarian king Solomon, fleeing his enemies, is said to have jumped the gorge on horseback.

Today it is Brașov's picnic ground: meadows, a stream, short climbing routes on the rock faces and forest trails leading off in several directions. It is also the end point of the Junii parade — on the first Sunday after Orthodox Easter the horsemen ride here from Piața Unirii and the day turns into a festival, around 13:00 (on 9 May in 2027).

It is free and open at all times. From Piața Unirii it is a walk of roughly half an hour up the valley road; by car or taxi it takes a few minutes. Bring water, and treat the forest edge with the usual caution: this side of the city has regular bear sightings, especially at dusk.
