Piste Ruia
A short, steep race pitch by the Ruia lifts — for strong skiers only
Ruia is a short, steep black in the middle of the mountain, around the Ruia chairlift and draglift: about 540 m long with roughly 200 m of vertical, which makes it one of the steepest pitches in Poiana for its length. It is homologated for competitions and can be reserved for training and races, so check the lift-station boards before you plan on it. On a normal day it is a place for strong skiers to put in a few hard, fast turns and ride the six-seat Ruia chair straight back up without returning to the village. It was among the last runs still open at the end of 2025/26. Expect firm, often icy snow; there is no easy way down from the top.
