November is the pause between Brașov's two seasons. Summer is over, the ski lifts have not started, the days are short and often grey, and the town settles into itself. Hotel rates are at their lowest, and if you like a city to yourself — the Black Church in near-silence, a table anywhere without booking — this is when to have it.
Plan around two closures in Sinaia: Pelișor is shut until 3 November and Peleș from 2 November to 1 December 2026 for conservation, so a Prahova valley castle day does not work this month. Bran, Râșnov and the fortified churches are open.
The month ends by lighting up. The Christmas market on Piața Sfatului opens on 27 November 2026, and 30 November (St Andrew) and 1 December (National Day) make a long weekend straight after it. Whether the ski season can start before December depends entirely on the cold — do not book Poiana for skiing in November and count on it.
