Grădina Zoologică Brașov
Brașov's zoo sits in the forest at the south-eastern edge of the city, in Noua, and it is the city's most dependable family outing. Enclosures spread through the woods on a slope, so wear decent shoes. The site also includes a planetarium.
Hours. From 1 March to 30 September, Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–19:00 (last ticket 18:15); from 1 October to the end of February, Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–18:00 (last ticket 17:15). It is closed on Mondays, except during school holidays and on public holidays.
Tickets (checked September 2026): adults 35 lei; children from 6, students and pensioners 15 lei; under-6s free. Tickets can also be bought online.
The address is Strada Brazilor 1; buses 17, 21 and 35 stop at "Școala Generală nr. 9". Make a day of it with the boats on Lake Noua and the rope course at the Adventure Park, both a short walk away. Parking in this area may become more expensive: the zoo is inside the proposed "Zone 0" of the parking reform under consultation until 9 October 2026.
