The upper-mountain link below the Salvamont hut — open when others close
Doamnei is one of the names you will hear on the lifts but not find on the official list of seven: a run on the upper mountain that starts below the Salvamont hut and descends towards the area locals call Katepu. City Hall publishes no length or grade for it, and it has no name on OpenStreetMap, so we do not print numbers. It does matter in practice: Doamnei was among the first runs opened in November 2023, it hosted the Balkan ski-mountaineering championship on 17 March 2026, and it was still open on the last weekend of 2025/26, when the lower pistes had closed. Reach it from the top of the gondola or either cable car, and ask the lift staff which way it is groomed that day.
